Wow – It seems that while I have written a lot of material in files, I have been a little lax in staying in touch with all of you! This week I am in Youngsville, Louisiana! The weather is a little crazy – hot and sunny in the morning with afternoon and evening thunderstorms complete with lightening too! Where is Youngsville you ask? It’s just outside of Lafayette where I spent my high school years. This week has been all about family for me and connecting with relatives and friends.
A newborn is such a special gift to anyone but especially to a grandma in waiting (that’s me – lol). My niece had the sweetest little boy on the 1st of May – and since I was already in Florida I decided to take a side adventure and come and hold the sweet baby. I’m pretty sure they were not spoiling him quite enough! So everyday I spend at least a couple of hours rocking him so his mom can have some time to herself. There is nothing sweeter in the world – and I look forward to the day if and when I am blessed with grandchildren too (no pressure on my kids intended here)
In addition to spoiling Cason, the newest member of our family, I was also lucky enough to attend Madison’s graduation from Teurlings High School on Monday (one of fourteen valedictorians this year
Carter’s Pre-K Ceremony to end his school year, and the upcoming Baptism of Cason on Saturday.
I am also blessed to be here to help my sister through a couple of minor medical procedures that she needed to have done as well. It’s a great way to give back to those you love for sure! It deepens the familial connections and I love helping them when I can.
Hope you are all spending time with your loved ones this upcoming holiday weekend! Be safe and have some fun! Thanks for sharing in my family memories today! Please share what your plans are this weekend too!
